Freedom at Risk

Many people underestimate the power of free speech. Many take it for granted. But without the freedom to speak, our country will become totally different - a change for the worse. Let me give you an example of a few countries who do not have the freedom of speech.
China
North Korea
Vietnam
Cuba
You've heard of the terrible conditions in these countries. The United States has always been compared to places like these in school, because we've always been proud of and thankful for our freedom in America. Sadly, that pride isn't really being encouraged anymore like it should. I hate to burst your bubble or offend you, but unlike Presidents of the past, President Obama is not interested in making America a greater nation in the way it has been. He wants to tear down everything this country ever was. He wants to create his idea of greatness in America, and that's total government control...also known as Marxism.
This goes beyond the trillions of dollars he plans to spend; beyond the financial struggle we see in the future. Obama is trying to fundamentally change America. He actually said so! At a rally five days before the election, this is what Obama said:
"In five days from now we will fundamentally change America."
Do you really understand what that means? That means taking everything this country was built upon, everything our founding fathers believed in, and uprooting it to replace it with everything our fathers tried to avoid, and worse!
One of the things Obama has already begun to do is to make abortion easier, and all of his liberal friends are saying that the world is over-populated. Guess what country has a law against more than one child per family? China. (Here is a way to speak against abortion.)
Now Obama is attacking Rush Limbaugh, a conservative talk-show host. Why? Because he said something the liberals didn't like. Limbaugh said, among stating other truths against Obama, that he wanted the Stimulus Package to fail. But now Obama and all his friends have twisted it to say that Limbaugh said he wanted the economy to fail. That is not what he said! But what does it matter? It matters because Washington is attacking someone who has done nothing but share his opinion. Limbaugh isn't even any kind of politician! Why is Obama going after him? In Marxist countries, the government tries to silence any voice that threatens their own precious ideas. That is what Obama is doing by attacking Rush Limbaugh!
Do not stop voicing your thoughts! America is a country of freedom of speech, no matter what anyone tries to do. But be aware that if our freedom of speech is taken away, all of our freedoms will be taken away. We don't want America to become just like all those other countries: China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba....This is America. Remember that, President Obama.

on the contrary to what the anonymous person said (whos too much of a baby to show their real name lol) what you said is ABSOLUTELY right. i totally agree with what you're saying...this country will become too dependent on the government, and the more the government, the less the freedom...

Anonymous is to be pitied. They are like so many in America that don't understand the gravity of what Obama is doing. Freedom is not free; it must be fought for, with our voices and sometimes our very lives. Let's fight now with our voices before it requires our lives.

Ordinary people here in the US don't really have freedom of speech if you think about it. 5 corporations own all the television stations in the US and the major newspapers are also owned by big corporations. Theres an old saying: "Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one." Regarding "freedom of the press" a journalist, John Swinton, once said at a banquet given in his honor: "There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never
appear in print...We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks. They pull the strings, and we dance."

Regarding Limbaugh, he also told people not to donate to Haiti. Last year, when some black students assaulted a white student on a school bus, Limbaugh said that segregated busing needs to be reintroduced.

In America, the government silences people they don't want heard. Not by open coercion or by throwing people in jail. They just refuse to let these people get on tv or radio, or print their letters and articles in newspapers. A complete media blackout. That's how they control
freedom of speech. Thats how they stifle dissent.
